us for a momentous tribute to Pierre Boulez, renowned conductor and
composer. As part of Symphony Center’s monthlong celebration of his
85th birthday, this program will showcase some of Boulez’s exhilarating
and intense chamber works using his groundbreaking combination of
instruments and electronics. The program will also include two new
works commissioned in his honor. Leading Boulez interpreter
Pierre-Laurent Aimard and musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
will explore the originality and innovations that make Boulez a legend.
